Donate Food and Clothing

Your donations help us keep our Food Closet stocked with a wide variety of foods.

The Food Closet only accepts these items:

  • Non-perishable food

  • Fresh produce (Only if the item does not require refrigeration. We cannot accept cut fruit even if these items are in sealed containers)

  • Baked goods in the original sealed package, commercially prepared and unexpired

  • Cat and dog food (may be open)

  • Laundry detergent

  • Personal care items

  • Baby wipes

  • Diapers (open packages are accepted)

  • Adult disposable underwear (open packages are accepted)

  • Paper towels

  • Toilet paper

  • Household cleaners

  • Light bulbs

While we are very appreciative of your donation, we are unable to accept the following items, as they do not meet our guidelines:

  • Expired food

  • Frozen and refrigerated items

  • Open containers or partially used items (this includes personal care and laundry detergents)

  • Over-the-counter medication

9AM to 10:30AM

3PM to 4:30PM

Saturday

10AM to 11:30AM

Neighbors Helping Neighbors depends on both financial contributions and drives to keep our Food and Clothing Closets filled with a variety of food, personal care items, and in season clothing, bedding and footwear. You can help!

The Clothing Closet accepts these items:

  • In Season Gently Used Clothing Infant thru adult 

  • In Season footwear (clean and in good condition)

  • New underwear

  • Blankets

  • Towels

  • Sheets

While we are very appreciative of your donation, we are not able to accept the following items, as they do not meet our guidelines: 

  • Electronics and appliances

  • Kitchen items (such as dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, and pans)

  • Mattresses

  • Used pillows

  • Mattress pads

  • Pre-worn underwear

  • Lamps

  • Furniture and decorative household items

  • Toys

  • Bicycles

  • Child car seats, highchairs, cribs, bassinets or other baby products

  • Medical equipment


We have to dispose of these items when they are donated, which unfortunately adds to our costs. We work closely with St. Vincent De Paul and highly recommend you contact them about donating these items.
